- On April 3, 2009, my life was better than I could ever dream it would be! Wonderful marriage to an awesome guy and two beautiful, healthy girls. Then April 4 happened and turned our lives upside down. My best friend and love of my life was killed in the line of duty in a senseless act of violence that shook Pittsburgh to the core. So now I am a single mom with two little girls who need their Daddy. This blog is for our hero.
